Festival Foods employee charged with arson
Charges are filed in the fire that closed a Brooklyn Park grocery store for nearly two months. It turns out police believe the fire was started by a store employee.

The employee is a juvenile. Brooklyn Park police say an arson investigation determined a 16-year-old boy is believed to have set the fire at Festival Foods intentionally. The fire on July 16 closed the store until last week. The fire broke out before 6 p.m. on a Sunday evening and the 40 to 50 people inside got out safely.

Brooklyn Park Deputy Police Chief Mark Bruley did not say what a motive might have been.
